# Melony

> Melony is a hosted, shareable team chat UI for agents built on the OpenAI Agents API or Anthropic Claude Managed Agents. Agent owners connect an existing agent with its API key, invite teammates by email, and everyone chats with the agent in one place. The API key stays on Melony's server and never reaches a browser.

Key facts:

- Melony is not an agent builder. The model, instructions, prompts and tools stay on the agent platform.
- Supported platforms: exactly two, the OpenAI Agents API and Anthropic Claude Managed Agents.
- Melony does not store messages. Conversations live on OpenAI or Anthropic; Melony keeps only an index of session IDs and who may see them.
- Chats are private to the person who started them until they share them with everyone on the agent.
- Roles: owner (holds the single API key and pays the platform), admin (manages members), member (chats).
- Free to use. Limits: 3 teammates per agent besides the owner, 100 messages per person per day.
